Gardening and Animals
I have lived in several states before moving to Washington in 2021. None were as conducive to gardening as my new home. We have a little under three acres here. Some is wild, and some has been turned into gardens. I want to keep the remaining wild parts, but I love growing beautiful perennials, shrubs, and trees that I couldn’t grow elsewhere. These are a few of the flowers from my garden.

My Animals
I’ve had some wonderful furry companions through the years, including my dog, Gracie; my three gelding horses, Jazz, Hobbes, and Indie; and my three cats, Lyra, Gordon, and Tansy. That’s not to say I don’t remember with love some of my animals that have passed on, some of whom I’ve included here. Animals give us wonderful joy, solace, and understanding, and I hope everyone has at least one such companion in their life.
A white horse will always be dirty lol. Hobbes is the son of my mare, Sweetie Pie, and was born on our property in Texas. Indie was also born in Texas to my mare’s sister, Cricket.
Once upon a time, I showed my mare, Sweetie Pie. This was when my daughter was just getting started showing Princess, a horse we leased for a while — so a long time ago.
Myrna, our sweet papillon pup, was with us from 2003 to 2020. We still miss her as we do all our pets who’ve left us.
